Online Peer Support Groups

Connect and grow with other AuDHDers from anywhere in the UK. Our online peer support groups offer both structure and flexibility, meeting a wide range of needs and preferences.

How Our Online Groups Work

Our online peer support programme runs in two parts over 24 weeks before you transition to our private online community, providing both guided discussion and ongoing connection:

12-Week Structured Programme

Meet once a week for one hour, either via Google Meet (video) or a WhatsApp group chat. Each week focuses on a different topic relevant to living as an AuDHDer, offering space for sharing experiences, practical advice, and emotional support. Sessions are led by Peer Support Workers and supported by Peer Supporters, all with lived experience of AuDHD.

12-Week Moderated WhatsApp Group

After the structured programme, the WhatsApp group chat will be open 24/7 and moderated for another 12 weeks. This space lets you keep in touch, ask questions, and continue supporting each other at any time, day or night.

Transition to Our Online Community

At the end of the 24-week programme, the WhatsApp group will be closed to help maintain privacy and boundaries, and to ensure the number of groups we run remains manageable for our volunteers. All group members will be invited to join our private online community, where you can continue connecting, sharing experiences, and accessing peer support in a safe, ongoing space.

Choosing Topics and Matching Participants

We want every group to feel relevant and comfortable for its members. When you sign up, you’ll be asked to select topics you’d like to explore as well as any subjects you prefer to avoid. This helps us tailor the group discussions to your interests and needs.

We also use your topic preferences and chosen session times to match you with a group that fits best. This way, you can connect with others who share similar experiences and are available at convenient times, creating a supportive and engaging environment for everyone.

Choose the Format That Works for You

  • Google Meet Groups: Join weekly video calls for face-to-face conversation, group discussions, and a sense of real-time connection.

  • WhatsApp Groups: Participate in weekly structured text-based chats, ideal if you prefer written communication or need more flexibility.

Both formats are designed to be accessible, inclusive, and welcoming - no pressure to mask or “fit in,” just a space to be yourself and connect with others who understand.
