Assessment Pathways
Together with mental health organisation MOAI, we are delighted to be able to offer bespoke assessment pathways and tailored treatment plans for autistic and ADHD adults in the UK.
We have created a groundbreaking new approach to AuDHD testing by combining the current autism and ADHD assessments into one neat little AuDHD pathway. Instead of waiting months for one assessment and years for the other, all it takes now is one extra hour and a few extra forms.
Assessment Pathways
Application Form
The first step in the assessment pathway is to fill out our application form. This tells us a little bit about you and gives us an idea about why you’re looking to get assessed and what you hope to achieve from your assessment.
Invoice & Payment
Before we can refer you to our clinical partners, we will send you an invoice for the appropriate amount (please see below for pricing details). All our assessment prices include a £35 admin fee which goes towards the charity. The invoice must be paid before we can send your referral to our clinical partners.
Initial Screening
Your referral will be screened by our clinical partners to ensure the assessment is appropriate for you. If they need more information than what is in our referral, you may have a discovery call with a psychiatrist where the two of you talk about why you think you are neurodivergent, your history, and if an assessment is right for you. You will then be asked to book in your initial appointment and will be sent some pre-assessment questionnaires.
Appointments
Appointments are typically held in-person in one of MOAI’s clinic rooms in London, however, online appointments are possible. Each assessment pathway requires a different set of appointments:
ADHD Pathway: 2-hour clinical appointment
Autism Pathway: 1-hour initial appointment, 2-hour ADI-R interview, 1-hour ADOS assessment
AuDHD Pathway: 2-hour initial appointment, 2-hour ADI-R interview, 1-hour ADOS assessment
Please note: The AuDHD assessment pathway assesses for both autism and ADHD at the same time - it is not a separate diagnosis. If you have already been diagnosed with autism or ADHD, please select a single autism/ADHD assessment as the combined assessment is not necessary.
Outcome Meeting
Once all your appointments are complete, you will then have an outcome meeting. This lasts 30 minutes and is where you can discuss next steps and potential support strategies such as medication, coaching, or therapy.
Management Pathway
If you and your clinician decide to pursue any of the above management strategies, you will be moved onto the Management Pathway. This varies from person to person, but your options are:
Medication
Therapy
Neurodiversity coaching
A combination of these
Together with your clinician, you will decide which of these is right for you and how best to proceed.

FAQs
-
If you already have a single diagnosis, you do not need to reassess that condition in a combined assessment. If you identify as an AuDHDer, you’d only need to undergo the other condition assessment e.g. if you have an Autism diagnosis already, you’d only need to apply for an ADHD assessment.
-
Unfortunately not. Offering split payments would cost AuDHD UK in charges, so in order to be able offer the lowest possible prices, we do not offer split payments.
-
Yes you can! We are partnered with MOAI and AuDHD Psychiatry. Both are excellent providers but offer slightly different benefits for your assessment. Keep an eye on our social media and website for more information on our providers. If you do not have a preference of providers, we will choose the most suitable provider for you - keeping low cost and assessment format preference (in person/online) as priorities.
-
Applying for an assessment with AuDHD UK usually takes a couple of weeks, depending on how quickly we receive your additional information and payment. Once your referral is sent to our provider, it can take a few weeks to be assessed.

Finding the right provider for you can be overwhelming, AuDHD UK have done the legwork to ensure that we know the founders of the providers, have negotiated best prices and help with the initial paperwork for you. AuDHD UK include a small admin fee for this which goes straight back into the charity so we can continue our important work!
