Our Mission, Vision, & Values
Our Mission
Our mission is to prevent autism and ADHD-related suicides in the UK, which we aim to do by increasing access to timely, affordable, and neuro-affirming assessments, whilst providing a safe, supportive space for individuals to understand and embrace their neurodiversity.
The world wasn’t made for AuDHDers, but we strive to create a society that is.
Our Vision
To create a world where AuDHD individuals have equal access to comprehensive assessments, receive timely and appropriate support, and are empowered to live fulfilling lives without barriers imposed by long waiting times or unaffordable costs.
Our Values
1. We See People as People
We view every individual as a whole person, not just as their diagnosis or condition. Our approach focuses on understanding each person’s unique experience, needs, and strengths. We aim to provide support that respects and empowers their identity, fostering a sense of belonging and dignity.
2. Equity in Assessment
We value the importance of making assessments accessible to everyone who wants one, especially those who face barriers such as long NHS wait times or the unaffordability of private assessments. Our unique AuDHD assessment ensures that individuals can be assessed for both neurodivergences in one process, allowing for a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of their needs.
3. Inclusive Support & Strength in Community
Our community is at the heart of everything we do. We believe in the power of shared experiences, and we offer a compassionate community and neurodivergent-led peer support to help individuals navigate the assessment process and beyond, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding.
4. Respect for Autonomy
We respect and uphold the rights of individuals to make informed decisions about their own care. Our approach always centers on empowering autistic and ADHD individuals to have agency in their lives and provide them with the information necessary to make choices that are right for them.
5. Compassionate Advocacy
We advocate for the needs of autistic and ADHD individuals by ensuring their voices are heard, their challenges are acknowledged, and their journeys are supported. We work tirelessly to break down societal barriers and promote understanding, so that neurodivergent people can thrive in every aspect of life.
